Social networking site Facebook can have about 20 million fake accounts or two users of the same user account. India includes in those countries, where more Facebook accounts have been created.

According to the news of the language, Facebook said in its latest annual report, "In our fourth quarter of 2017, we expect that the share of fake or second accounts is about 10% of our monthly active users (MAU)."

"We think that in the developing markets like India, Indonesia, and the Philippines, there are many such duplicate or counterfeit accounts compared to more advanced markets," the report said.

By 31 December 2017, the number of per month active users on FB was 2.13 billion, which is 14% more than December 31, 2016. On December 31, 2016, the quantity of MAUs was 1.86 billion, of which 6% was 11.4 billion 'fake accounts'.
